Rules of the origin of goods are rules which determine the economical membership of a good to a certain country or region. These rules let ascertain from which country or a group of countries originates. These rules are one of the calculate elements and a basis to enumerate customs amounts. The origin rules concern not olny the country of origin but also methods of documenting this origin and other demands which have to be fulfilled, like direct transport rule, etc.
The origin rules have a significant role in common customs law because of differences in customs rates. The right choice depends on the country of origin. This diversity in a result of many treaties, in which the Comuunity is a side.
Rules of origin are divided to two basic groups:- non-preferential rules of origin,
- preferential rules of origin.
